This is a jewel in the crown of Glasgow’s Kebab house takeaway scene. Rocco’s review is great so I’d recommend that first… I had the Doner Sarbeni(really thin Turkish pizza/thin naan about 1 square metre with kebab and salad inside, rolled up like a persian carpet and weighing at least a kilo) for just £5.50 and to be honest I should have stopped there as it was more than enough for two of us to polish off, even after a day on a beer crawl! However we also went for chips and cheese(really good too) and veg pakora which was very tasty, albeit slightly stodgy inside — sort of what you get with a slightly under baked bread/cake. I’d definitely go back if I was even remotely in the area and would recommend to any fast-food champion!

Amazing grilled kebabs on hot smoky coles, freshly baked Turkish pide bread, fresh salads, delightful vegetable side dishes, everything is super tasty and its cheap cheap cheap! Definitely one place I will always keep coming back to.

This is no ordinary takeaway. Located just on the Southside of the city it is opposite the Grand Olé Opry on Paisley Road West. I first head about it through the restaurant review pages in the Sunday Herald which, considering it is a humble takeaway, is impressive in itself. Their main speciality is that everything they make is cooked on the premises including all their breads. They do an amazing selection of turkish vegetable dishes which are amazingly cheap and go really well with whatever you order as a main. The kebabs are amazing and all cooked to order while you wait. Another of their specialitys is the Lamb Machun. It’s a lamb mice, cheese and pronto spread over a freshly baked flat bread then the bread is rolled into a tight truncheon. It is the ultimate in tasty street food.
