Good sized ice-rink in the town centre used by many youngsters at the weekends and during the holidays. Our kids go most weekends and have met lots of new friends. They recently attended a beach party at the ice-rink and had a fabulous time. The staff are really helpful and great with the kids, in particular teenagers. They also run lessons for young tots to OAPs, no matter what your age is you’re never too young or too old to start ice-skating and it’s great exercise too. Aswell as skating, they also have curling sessions.

A decent sized ice rink based in the heart of the East Kilbride Shopping Centre. Unlike ice rinks of old it’s not HUGE, but also unlike many ice rinks in shopping centres it’s not tiny either. Certainly enough room for amateurs to go around and around and fall down, and enough room for the more advanced to pirouette and spin like, well, like spinning tops?! I believe that lessons can be taken at the rink and trainees can often be seen during the day attracting spectators who clearly haven’t undertaken any great amount of exercise in a lo-ong time. It’s a actually a pleasant place to stop for a rest and maybe grab a snack from one of the nearby eateries. Indeed, the rink and seating is arranged to encourage people to watch.
