Bland! Bland! Bland! and may I add the word BLAND!!!
Popped in after a wee shifty round the shops at Braehead and decided to have a bite of lunch in here.
The concept seemed over all like a good Idea, choose your Grill… Ribs, Burger, Chicken, Fish etc, choose accompanying side dish and Sauce with an unlimited supply of salad from the salad bar. I opted for the grilled chicken with side of fries and the Harvester Gravy which consisted of a brown watery substance somewhat similar to something drained from the remainders of a dirty dishwater bowl. Both the chicken and the Burger my friend had were tasteless. The salad bar was nothing more than mediocre.

Arrived and was shown our seats straight away, offered menus very quickly and picked our food. The Harvester has a salad bar, which was full to the Brim with Delicious salads, all fresh, no wilting stuff here. Fresh brown and white dinner rolls also on salad bar, which is free when purchasing a main meal. Our meal arrived which was the BBQ chicken and bacon stacker, yummy! After finishing our meal we were offered deserts, we took this offer up after browsing the list of lovely stuff to Finnish off with. We settled on the ice cream Sunday. It was lovely creamy ice cream and a good portion as well. The only thing i have to say which spoils any restaurant for me is being offered the bill without asking for it.
This place offers good food, at a very reasonable cost, give it a try!

Tired and bedraggled after an international flight from Boston, my in-​laws have thoughtfully taken me to eat first thing from the airport before the onslaught of my husband’s large Catholic family greats us. Several times, we have gone to the Harvester, because it’s close and a «good value.» At these times, I am too jetlagged to demure politely in a convincing way, and not wanting to appear ungrateful for their very generous hospitality, off we go to the Harvester. It’s £4.99 for a meat, side, and the salad bar. Technically, this is a good deal. But in reality, the food is DIRE. The salad is pretty much some wilted lettuce, some rotting tomatoes, and vats full of mayonnaise masquerading as salad dressing. The meat is dry and flavorless, and the sides are all, with the exception of the pilau rice, some form of a greasy potato.
When I’m jetlagged and hungry after a long flight, it serves. But I would never make a trip to any of the Harvester chains when I’m in my right mind.

Great family value, especially the free salad bar which is an amazing selection to choose from.
Go every week, staff really friendly.
