Say it quickly and it sounds like your swearing at your cutting implement. This is what can only be described as a good old fashioned traditional Glaswegian café which is, like it or not, about 10 years stuck in the past. With the usual greasy spoon offerings plus some«just like ma maw used to make if she wasnae a damn veggie» Scottish kick ass honest working class meals… steak pie, macaroni cheese, mince and totties etc this is a total«eat it and shut yur face» type joint. I heard a guy from the list magazine came in here to review the grub and was chased by the cook after he asked for a smaller portion(quite possibly a lie… from me). Any way. If your hungry, hankering after some real food at rock bottom prices and a real experience of Glasgow folk them this is the joint to hit. Nae Cous Cous on offer here pal, unless you want it wae chips

This good old Glasgow café is spotlessly clean and filled with cosy burgundy booths, white wooden beams and charming brass table numbers. This place has all the charm of a greasy spoon café, serving up a full menu of breakfasts and hearty main meals, including homemade steak pie and good old mince and potatoes. Fork & Knife café is filled with workies and wifies, popping in for hot and cold filled rolls, or gabbing over a hot mug of tea and an all day breakfast. I love this place’s good old fashioned café feel, with its marble tables and retro squeezy red and brown bottles of sauce, alongside the sugar pourer. I would highly recommend the veggie breakfast, at only £3.50 and served with tea and toast, it’s a bargainous breakfast indeed.
