Eco Chic boutique is part shop, part social enterprise! Situated at the bottom of High St, it’s a wee secret gem full of one-off creations handcrafted and screenprinted by talented Glaswegians! Linked in with community organisation Impact Arts, it hosts the works of many local designers and artists. Through a collective, it represents the work of many talented young locals looking for a leg up in terms of getting their name out there. It’s great for unique jewelley, t-shits, skirts, upcycled clothing, household wares and revitalised curiosities. The staff are friendly, informative and always impeccably dressed. It’s also useful to know that Eco Chic boutique host sewing workshops and various arts events for people who are wanting to try out crafting/designing clothes, and offers an opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in Glasgow’s hugely diverse, booming, self-sufficient arts scene. They showcase some of the work out there and are a gateway and a good starting point to the local artistic network. Have always meant to try one of their sewing machine master classes so I will report back when I’ve done it!
