Central Letting Services – Glasgow Letting Agent

My partner rented with CLS for two years (I lived in the property for the second year, which I should point out was all above board and known to the agent).
Over this time we had a number of issues with the flat, ranging from no running water in the kitchen to a leaking window. Both this issues took up to 4 weeks to be resolved (which the agent argued was within a «reasonable time»). I cannot argue with this but the constant calling and emailing them looking for updates along with the fact that in the mean time no temporary fixes were put in place left us with a very bad experience of CLS and certainly will not be recommending them to ANYONE.
I should also point out that many of our reported issues went ignored. We had an electrical issue which almost resulted in a heater catching fire (luckily I was in the flat at the time and smelt the burning plastic.) I emailed pictures of the half melted plug and informed the agent. Nothing was done. It was a similar story with very strong gaseous smells coming from the bathroom (on two occasions, the odour was bad enough to wake us up in the middle of the night). Numerous calls resulted in us being fobbed off. Again nothing was done.
Steer clear.
