The location of Ashton B&B, just around the corner from the popular Ashton Lane in the West End of Glasgow, just doesn’t get much better. The house is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the metro stop is just a short walk from the front door, and the owners, Marion and Frank are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet… it was the perfect place to spend our 2 nights in Glasgow. There is so much to do within walking distance from Ashton, it is the perfect place for those looking to explore Glasgow. The breakfast offerings were coffee or tea, cereals and yogurt, freshly cut fruit, toast, and croissants… no eggs or other hot offerings but sometimes you just can’t have everything! Our room was on the small side and Marion offered to let us switch rooms on the second night but for us it was just fine as we really weren’t in it much anyways! We shared a bathroom with the room next door which can be a bit awkward at times but everyone staying was very polite and we made it work. Marion even let us park our rental car around back for our stay which we were very grateful for. One notable downside is that they don’t offer wi-fi at all which, for us, was a bit of a bummer… but we made do on our phones. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Ashton Glasgow, the location and the hospitality would be very difficult to beat!
