My cat had to be put to sleep very suddenly back in July 2010 and my partner & I took her here to be cremated. Firstly, I couldn’t believe how difficult it was to find a local(ish) pet cremation service which would take her it’s not like anyone plans that sort of thing and you don’t want your dead pet sitting around at home for long so I was surprised that we couldn’t find anywhere to do it the same day! Anyway after a couple of hours searching we found here. The person my partner dealt with was very polite and understanding, and agreed to fit her in that afternoon. When we arrived(although I was still balling my eyes out), the man there was very patient with us and calm, they had a good selection of urns and plaques to choose from and a small room at the side of the building to say your final goodbyes. Once you finish in that room, you leave your pet in there and the worker gets them from a side door so you don’t see them being removed. I felt that the price was very reasonable too for her to be cremated, put in a handmade wooden urn and get a plaque it cost just over £100, which I didn’t mind paying at all for the peace of mind that it was definitely her in the urn and not a mix of lots of animals/waste. A certificate confirmed this. It took less than an hour to do and overall we were treated with respect, understanding and patience which was very much appreciated as I was pretty much inconsolable that day!
