Ravensworth Arms Hotel

A fantastic country pub, conveniently located just off the A1and easy to get to from Gateshead or Newcastle.
The food is wholesome, locally sourced and well-​presented and there are often special deals. Mon — Thurs they do a special menu where you can get starter and main for £9.99. Whilst this isn’t the cheapest pub you will ever go to, the quality of the food is excellent and there is a good wine selection too.
The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-​back. The venue itself is smart, but you don’t feel like you need to dress up.
It is table service and the waiting staff are prompt and courteous.
There is plenty of seating both inside and out, so it’s suitable for visiting no matter what the weather. It’s worth noting that there is a nature reserve and bird hide nearby which are well worth visiting.
