Ever since El Molino opened, almost 30 years ago, it has been great, an independently-operated tapas bar, also offering larger options. The food is varied and good, and priced very reasonably; there are a fine selection of tapas on the 3 for £10 menu, and yet more for a slightly higher price. Around two tapas per person makes for a decent meal, although the tasty bread which is a must for cleaning up the sauces might mean that you end up fuller than intended. Amongst the options are battered fish strips, as well prepared as though from a specialist fish restaurant, prawns in spiced garlic butter, potatoes served with various sauces and well-seasoned chorizo. Opt for a few tapas, bread and a jug of sangria(.5l or 1l) to enjoy a cosy meal with friends. Paul, present from the beginning, is helpful and happy to offer advice, and the newer staff follow this lead.
