The quality of the food at this ‘restaurant with rooms’ is well documented on their own website and in reviews across the Internet. Suffice to say, we weren’t dissapointed — really good hearty country grub, so rich and tender, cooked with love. It’s a bit more expensive than other gastropubs or restaurants, but so worth it! We went on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet. If they could improve one thing it would be to add a little more atmosphere — there wasn’t any music when we went, and this made people a bit self conscious I think. But the service, for a restaurant of this quality, was refreshingly unpompous! Worth the trip.
