I tried this place after being let down by Al fresco in January. I’ve heard such good things about it that perhaps I was expecting too much. It was OK but pretty average I thought. I’m vegetarian and the menu choices for me were sparse. Thought the rest of the menu looked ok but nothing mouth-​watering. Staff are nice and the service is good. Portion sizes and prices are about right but nothing special I’m afraid.

This has been a favourite of ours for many years and now that we have children, we still go back. They are great with children’s food and have a good menu and seem happy to accommodate fussy eaters like me. I thoroughly recommend this place.

After Reading the reviews we were looking forward to our visit, but on the Mon eve we went the food was average. It was not a poor visit, but we get better food in Zizzi or Pretso and we were expecting more.

Of the three restaurants I have tried in Fleet, El Castello is the best. Conveniently located an mid-​way on high street (Fleet Road) and is a spacious, nicely decorated, bright and very clean. Customer service was good with attentive and friendly service. The crustini appetizer was very good. The entrees of lasagna and pesto spaghetti had great flavor and nicely proportioned and reasonable priced. Overall a very nice restaurant.

Everything is really good here, from the pizza to the pasta, from the steak sandwich to the fresh calamari. Great friendly service, relaxed ambiance and beautiful hand-​painted murals. The dessert menu is varied also with a Tiramisu to die for! All food is freshly prepared, producing a delicious blend of flavours every time, without being overly fussy or drenched in oils and sauces. I’ve eaten here every couple of weeks for the last few years and never been disappointed.

Definitely the best restaurant in Fleet. Great food, ambience, surroundings and friendly and efficient service. Excellent value for money, especially the lunch specials at just £4.95. Extensive menu and everything is made on the premises and freshly cooked to order, but if you want something not on the menu (and they have the ingredients) they will make it for you. Family run and established for over 10 years.

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Fleet. The menu is varied with cheaper pasta and pizza dishes and lots of good meat and fish dishes. The seabass is amazing! Staff are friendly, the décor is great and the overall atmosphere is relaxed. They used to have live music on a Tuesday but I’m not sure if they still do. Thoroughly recommend this place over the bland chain Italian restaurants around it!

El Castello offers great food at a range of prices — from pizzas and pastas up to Italian style meat and accompaniments. There’s a good selection of wines and a great selection of desserts.
The staff are very friendly and experienced and the atmosphere is always good. It’s also good for group parties. I would personally rate it as the best Italian restaurant in the area. If you like Italian food and haven’t tried it yet, you should.

This is quite an intimate restaurant I would say. It has a warm cosy atmosohere. It is a narrow restaurant and not much room for movement of tables etc. So wheelchairs might find this a little unfriendly in that sense.
It serves delicious food and the service is great and fast. They have a variety of desserts, my favourite is the Crème Brulee. They have a nice wine list too.
It is situated in the centre of Fleet town and there is a couple of car parks located nearby, within less than 5 minute walks.

Good Italian food right on the High Street. Lovely steaks, pizza, pasta and a good wine list.
A nice place for lunch or dinner and close to pubs for a drink before or after eating.
