Chianti Restaurant

Had an enjoyable meal here, but shouldn’t have had the Zabaglione (made with raw egg) 4 hours later I had the worst, most painful food poisoning I’ve ever had !
I couldn’t try and lift anything heavy for 48 hrs !

Chiantis is a nice little Italian restaurant in the high street of Ferndown. There is limited parking behind the restaurant. The restaurant is split into two sections, a nice classic bar area and then a rabbits warren that is the restaurant. The restaurant side is dimly lit and cosy and very different to the bar area.
The menu is extensive with the prices reasonable for what you will receive. I have to admit to loving their chicken pasta dishes on the menu.
The waiting team are attentive but they don’t hover, and considering the resaturant is a busy one then they have found the right balance I think for their customers.
I find the wine list to be fairly limited an on the expensive side. The men in our party every time we go there always walk round to the bar themselves to top up their drinks as they find it quicker, but I think the waiters manage it almost as fast.
A great place to have a meal out.
