Walked from Hilton Garden Inn and found a new favorite place. Lovely menu, friendly people, beautiful building. I look forward to being there again.

Like the previous reviewer, I walked here from Jury’s inn(or rather Garden Inn as it’s nowadays called). Basically the only pub around but it would certainly survive also with better competition: Nice fish’n’chips with few good ales on the tab. Inside it’s very traditional local British pub which in my books is always very positive thing. All in all, certainly above average pub. Even in winter, would think during summertime it would be perfect to watch planes roaring just overhead while enjoying a pint of ale!

We were staying at a friend’s place in Feltham and wanted to get a drink. We decided to walk to the Green Man and ended walking through a very random industrial estate to get there. The pub dates back to 1640 and is super cozy inside, with a fire going. There is also a big beer garden. The bar staff were friendly too. It’s an odd location given that its so close to the airport but its worth stopping by if you are in the area.

On my most recent visit to the Green Man, the service had increased tenfold — although we phoned our food order through and specifically said we needed it to be served to us within a few minutes of arriving — they managed this really well although they did get a couple of the drinks wrong and in a group of about 12 a couple of people were given the wrong side orders. Definitely much improved from last time.

I am an airplane nerd, plane and simple(yeah…I went there). I love everything about commercial aviation. If you are like me, it doesn’t get better than this location of The Green Man. Why? It’s right under the approach/departure path to Heathrow. Planes buzz you every other minute, and if it’s a nice day, you can sit outside on the picnic benches and watch the planes come and go. If you don’t live in London(or even if you do), the easiest way to get here is to take the Piccadilly Line to Hatton Cross, go up the stairs, take a right, and keep walking about 5 minutes. Prices are pretty fair and the beer is always flowing. Service is friendly. The place is busy even early, as a lot of the BA maintenance folks come here after work. It’s perfect for a layover too — if you have a few hours and want to get out of the airport but can’t make it all the way to the city, stop by here. I’m definitely a fan!
