Brenda’s

Brendas is a school uniform shop. I would rather not go there, but they are the only stockists of our schools sweatshirts and bookbags so I have no choice.
Its quite a large store and caters for all the schools in the area and also Guides, Brownies and Rainbows uniforms. They also sell knitting wool and other bits and pieces.
I have never found the staff to be very helpful, but that may be because Ive only visited at the weekend. Friends have had much better experiences so I think it must be better in the week.
Another problem with the shop is that there is nowhere to park nearby, as its a shop in the middle of a residential street.
Although Brendas is a bit old fashioned i’d be lost without it as there is nowhere else like this around here.

A-​ha, Brendas have moved! They are not in Peabody road anymore, but are in Alexandra Road, near Nat West Bank. Admittedly parking is not much better, but the new shop is lovely. The staff have always been excellent to be fair when I’ve been in there. A great New (I think) member of staff was a girl called Emily. Very helpful.
