Warehouse Bistro

Le Routard nous avait recommandé cet endroit et comme d’habitude, nous n’avons pas été déçus! Les serveuses sont agréables et attentionnées (par exemple, elles font spontanément des efforts pour se faire comprendre des francophones, même belges… Et elles sont jolies de surcroît ! ;-) Et la nourriture est «amazing» pour l’Angleterre: il y a du vin français, ce qui n’est pas courant ici, et le mélange des goûts y est délicat… comme sur le continent ! Les adeptes de l’euro et de la conduite à droite me comprendront ;-) Les prix sont raisonnables. Bref, il est prudent de réserver car la réputation du Warehouse est justifiée !

We were a party of ten. They helped us get seated the best they could manage. We didn’t call ahead. The servers were beyond nice, and the food was really good. Best place we ate at in Falmouth. The only «problem» if you can call it that, is that it’s «only» a great steakhouse/​Bistro. It’s not as local as many of the other restaurants are. BUT, the food and servers make up for it with ease.
The food was great the menu was adverse, starters, mains and deserts. All amazing. For the quality of food, not too pricy. You can get an amazing three course meal for only £16. Highly recommended.

No place was not an option. They organised it. No salade on the menu? The waitress organised something special. All the Food tastend very good.
If we must complain about something: the airco did drip (overheated ?)

It was a Sunday night around 8 pm, and we were wandering around Falmouth looking for a place for dinner. Unfortunately a lot of places were completely booked up, but we managed to get squeezed in to Warehouse Bistro. We weren’t sure about the place, but sometimes you have to make do when you’ve got no other choices.
Unfortunately, the wine list is absolutely abysmal. Nothing that looked good (and the most expensive wine on the list is Yellowtail). The other half was really worried about the restaurant after seeing that, but we stuck around. He ordered the crab cake to start and the fillet steak with a Stilton sauce. I ordered the country pork pâté and the fillet steak with brie and bacon. Luckily, the food was actually very tasty. The crab cakes were well cooked and well seasoned. The pâté was tasty, and the mango chutney it was served with complimented it very well. Both of our steaks were great, but the sides were a bit lacking. The vegetables were overdone (and maybe reheated, I’m not sure), and the chips were pretty standard. The other half’s steak wasn’t as rare as mine (we both ordered rare), but it wasn’t more than medium-​rare. The Stilton sauce was great and the bacon and brie on mine complimented the steak really well.
The desserts looked great, but unfortunately, the service started to get a bit lacking at this point, and we waited about 10 minutes from when they gave us the dessert menus to when they came back to take our order. By then I was kind of tired and ready to go, so I didn’t actually order one. Honestly though, the food was much better than expected, and it’s definitely a great place to go for great starters and steaks!

The warehouse has been open for as long as I can remember and is a small cosy restaurant tucked away between the pubs in town. As its small, make sure you get a good table as sometimes you can be knocking elbows with strangers.
The menu is meat and veg, seafood and fajitas and its never changed, which is part of the problem, the foods good but not great and with the gradual price rises its become an expensive place to eat in. It’s a pity because the warehouse really is a nice cosy character bistro.
