This was the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had… my children love their savaloy and chips on a rare occasion and this has put them off for life. They had no savaloys on show so tossed 3 into the deep fat fryer and completely burnt the skins off so it was just burnt sausage meat… never again. Knew exactly what they were up to … as covered themselves while they wrapped them in the paper. My children were gutted when they opened their fish and chip paper … they actually asked me what it was …

Well Penmere fish & chips must have improved some as apart from the batter being really dark brown & the young girl forgetting to put in the mushy peas! it was very good, fish not as white & fresh as I’m use to but the best I have found down here!(being a Plymouth girl) been here for over 3years so tried a few chips were very niceAnd 2 for under a tenner is a rare thing these days!!!

This is the worst fish & chips we have ever tasted! Greasy, dark brown thick batter, the chips were just warm & greasy, dark brownish disgusting! Went to go back but shut so I phoned to complain & told to bring it back 50miles round trip! & my dog wouldnt eat it! & Both of us were ill all night sick & painful stomach!!!

This ‘chippy‘ really needs to sort it’s self out, they used to be really good, but the last 4 or so years they have gone down hill badly !. Last time i want there i had more«green» and bad chips than good ones ! very very poor, and as for the fish, it that was COD then i’m a dutchman !, bland tastless and just horrible, even the peas seemed watered down and they like the fish«n» chip so called treat ended up in the bin . Just terrible ! . Please improve as it’s such a shame to see a good chippy go downhill so badly

Penmere fish and chips are ok, the chips are good but the battered fish is pretty bad, by the time you get it home its all gone soggy and the batter comes off with all the wrapping. There’s a small restaurant attached to the side to get your fish and chips a bit fresher but my recommendation would be to go down the hill to the Boslowick Fish and Chips shop for a better quality fish supper.
