We chose this restaurant because of the good ratings on qype and were truly disappointed. In the restaurant they try to keep up the impression of a restaurant with high standards, but that is only true for the pricing. The quality of food was lower than average, small portions. I had the seabass with potatoes and vegetables the fish was well done but with no flavour at all, 2 tiny potatoes in half and two slices of zucchini, eggplant and pepper per unit, 15,95£. No. The worst of all were the smelly, dirty toilets. Just repelling, really.

Maybe it was an off night, but my experience here was such that I would never consider returning here again. The staff were pleasant enough but the standard of service was dire. Incompetence describes accurately the service I received. Items ordered were forgotton about, giving us the wrong food and even missing off elements. Of the dish.(this also happened to diners next to us who unbelievably got their smoke salmon starter without smoked salmon!) But the worst aspect was the standard of food. The roast belly of pork was more like an overcooked rasher of Bacon. The fondant of potato was a reheated roast potato. For my fellow diners, their burger was like a dried microwaved patty of bought-in mince. But if all of this was only a tenner a head it may be bearable, but to charge proper restaurant prices for this standard is frankly taking the mickey. Do yourselves a favour and go somewhere else.

Nice decking area with a good view; a great place for an informal coffee, lunch or dinner. There was a great choice on the menu from simple stuff like jacket potatoes, sandwiches and salads to more substantial meals with a good variety of local fish. I really enjoyed my salt & pepper squid with a rocket and parmesan salad and loved the raspberry heaven smoothie, while my husband was quite content with his sausages and chips in a basket. The service was friendly and we’ll certainly go back when we’re next in Falmouth.

Lovely little café in town with a raised seating area to look over the bay and enjoy the sea breeze, great for a quick sandwich or coffee or for a more substantial meal to spend an afternoon. Fairly priced, not cheap. The place can get pretty busy in the summer but is still one of those nice café’s to nip into with a friend.
