The best food I’ve ever eaten in Exeter. The best food I’ve ever eaten! That Beef Wellington was so, so good. Worth every penny.

The Conservatory deserves a Michelin star. The food amongst the best in Exeter. The staff treat us like we matter. It is located a few paces from a multi story car park. The food is honestly priced. 8.5 out of 10. It is a top restaurant in Exeter. Price = Average/High Value = good Staff = Very attentive Food = Very good but the MENU needs to change more regularly.

The Conservatory is one of the few really upmarket restaurants in Exeter, second only to Michael Caines restaurant. It has had a change of chef since I last ate there, so I hope they have managed to keep up the very high standards! This is a small and intimate venue, with a holding area that is perfect to enjoy an apéritif before stepping up a few stairs into the main restaurant to eat. This is by no means cheap and cheerful(although a set lunch at £9.95 for 2 courses is offered — a bargain). It is ideal for a very special meal and has a lovely atmosphere, excellent service and(when I was there last) divine food!

Have to say this is our favourite restaurant in Exeter. Consistently good quality food with excellent and often very humorous service. Wines are very good and although menu choice is somewhat limited it is certainly not restrictive. Try the ‘earlybird’ for good value. Hasn’t failed us for many years now so long may it continue.

we have to let you know that the evening we had at The Conservatory was the most enjoyable we’ve had in a very long time. The food was to die for, it looked, smelled and tasted delicious. The service was warm and friendly which made the atmosphere very relaxing. We left happy and contented and would recommend that you should follow in our footsteps.
