Very welcoming. Ordered starters and with specific orders for no fresh coriander on any of the dishes as it makes my husband physically sick. Waited 45mins for starter. Starter arrived with covered with Fresh coriander. Gave the benefit of the doubt with strict instructions to please don't add fresh coriander to any of the dishes. Another 45 mins later and main meal arrived .. All dishes covered with Fresh coriander.. so a warning if you have an allergy to any ingredients don't put your trust in this restuarant, ours was a simple distaste for coriander , but it could be a lot worse if you truly do have a serious allergy. Was then told to wait why they corrected the mistake but we didn't have the patience to wait another 45 mins for our meal. Very disappointed and would not be wasting our time visiting this restuarant again.

Another Friday evening, another pre-salsa meal in Ewell. By the way, for those wondering, ‘Ewell’ is pronounced ‘Yule’. I fancied a curry and as Paprika, the only other Indian in Ewell Village, didn’t display a menu outside, I wandered into Dhansiri. Behind the tinted glass façade is a competent Indian restaurant. I started with a papaddum and onion bhaji, both staples of a British curry house experience and both came through the taste test. For main course, the usual suspects were all listed but my eye was drawn to the Raan-e-guddaz lamb shank, which had been marinated overnight in tomatoes and onion sauce. It wasn’t quite fall off the bone soft as described but the meat was very tender and generous. I liked the whole lamb shank being served on the bone as it confirmed that it had been cooked on the bone, which retains a lot of flavour. My mango lassi was adequate, perhaps not quite as full of mango flavour as others I’ve had. I was offered a free liqueur at the end of the meal. Overall, a solid Indian.
