So I’m going to admit cheating and say that I wasn’t here for your normal garden experience, but instead saw a play performed in the garden after-hours. But both were seriously one of a kind. This garden is easily a perfect example of why England has some of the best greenery I’ve ever seen. It was just… wow. The whole area was beautiful landscaped and every time you turn a corner there’s a new fountain or grassy area or stoned garden or secret path. It is easy to get lost in the beauty here, or really, just to get lost here. They are constantly doing events here too, so if you want to see something special, check out what they have on their calendar. We saw an immersive Midsummers Night’s Dream which occurred throughout the park and was easily the best production I’ve ever seen done of it. Just wow. Charge is about £10 to get in(not counting the price for a show if you see something, then it’s just the price of the ticket) and that doesn’t count parking. But there is free parking on the road nearby if you don’t want to park in the lot. The only issue I had was with the staff, who were friendly but kind of useless. We had about an hour to kill before the show began and asked what we should do or see. Their response, «Um, you can hang out on the patio.» What? Why? There’s an insanely beautiful garden right behind us. No thanks. So we wandered on our own and it was beautiful. But beyond that, it was fantastic, especially if you’re in London and need some fresh air.
