Tadim

This place was fantastic. It was affordable, delicious, clean, and had a friendly staff. Every time we walked by on our month stay in the area we thought about going in until we finally did and it was a great decision. I highly recommend checking it out!
Also, they have complimentary Turkish tea and bread with sauces and who can say no to that?

We visited Tadim with my family during lunch time on a Saturday. I had heard some very good things about Tadim so expectations were possibly quite high. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to its hype. As an entré we were given cacik (yoghurt dip with cucumber, mixed salad and humus along with some pitta bread. The bread was acceptable but bordering on the rubbery side but the dips and salad were excellent. We ordered a variety of food (lamb beyti, mixed doner, chicken shish and kofte). Our youngest son who ordinarily loves his food wouldn’t eat anything but the chips. It was just too salty for him. This seemed to be a recurring theme with all our food, just too much salt which made it inedible although it was overwise cooked well.
Service left a little to be desired. They tried bless them and although they were attentive, timely and polite, the lack of proper training was evident. The owner was sitting at the next table (he introduced himself to us) being very loud which also put us off. When it came to settling up we were told their card machine hadn’t been working the whole morning. These things happen but we should have been told or there shoud have been a notice. We didn’t have any cash on us and had to go out to the cash point and return to pay.
There’s a lot of competition with Turkish cuisine in the area and the general standard is quite high so they really do need to up their game. We will be going elsewhere.

I always thought chicken & rice (the halal guys) in New York City was the best food of that region. Boy was I wrong!!! I ate there 3 times in the 3 weeks that I was here. The portions are HUGE! The specials lasted 3 meals for a tiny woman of my stature. First off, the lamb is delectable! It literally melts in your mouth. Second, the chicken here is AMAZING! I usually find chicken dry and flavorless but this place does it right! I love the seasoning and the flame grilled method. I recommend this place to all my coworkers who travel to Enfield. Cheap prices and opens late! What more can you ask for!
