Just a quick note — but Ma Battleys also has a tea room upstairs.
They do light lunches (sandwiches, chips, salads), but also have all the classic tea items such as:
— scones with clotted cream
— Victoria sponge cake
— other sweets
Cream tea was very reasonable —
8.95 GBP paid for tea for two which included:
— two pots of tea
— two scones each
— a generous portion of clotted cream each
— strawberry jam
Very nice and most enjoyable!
BTW the downstairs had great candy gift baskets — lots of old favs!

Ma Battleys is an old fashioned seaside resort type candy shop in Enfield. They sell all kinds of sweets and gift baskets.
You serve yourself by taking a little bag and putting what ever sugary things you want in there.
Ma’s also can provide you with champagne (I think of Bubbles De Vere from Little Britain here) and wine for your gift basket if you want and do you a custom gift.
I will have to come back and get the girlfriend some fudge and one square for Nan. I’m sweet but not a sweets person. Salt all the way and bread.
