Ziggy’s Really Good Food

I am really liking Ziggy’s style. I’ve recently emerged like a bad tempered butterfly from a diet which pretty much cut out everything I used to eat. Sugar — pfft! Dairy — gone. Wheat — gone. Gluten — gone. Anything I couldn’t pronounce i.e. preservatives — gone. I didn’t quite get as far as a raw food diet, but I came awfully close. I came across Ziggy’s operating a stall at the Jazz Festival Mardi Gras, and according to their website, will be running a trailer at The Meadows, so hopefully the details are correct!
I tried out their pea and potato salad — the mint was too strong for my tastes, with the salad overwhelmed by it — perhaps younger mint would have worked nicer. Their sushi uses white rice that I could see, so that was offlimits, and their enticing gluten free crepes also were banned as had no options that worked for my restrictive diet. Still, if I see Ziggy’s again, I’ll be certainly sticking my head in to see what they offer. Their raw pizza looked fantabulous…
