Great Italian restaurant. The lunch menus offer great food at very decent prices and they also offer a kids’ menu. I had the calamari as the starter, which was ordinary, and salmon pasta dish which was good. My wife had the mussels, which were great and the meat (I am not sure which specific dish she ordered) but it was cooked to perfection, tender, soft and so tasty. Including the three menus, one desert for our son and one for us, two glasses of wine and an espresso, 40 pounds is a deal. Good and fast service.

Desperately racking my mind for somewhere to go on Saturday night for dinner with a group of friends, I settled on choosing an old favourite — Vittoria’s. Having been out of the Edinburgh circuit for a few months now, I’m already seeing new places popping up that I don’t recognise, which look exciting — but sometimes you just need to go somewhere you know you’ll get a good meal. And this is one of those places.
The menu is extensive and will cater for all tastes — I’m pretty sure most of their pizzas and pastas are available GF too. My favourite bit about this place though is that they offer a half-​pizza, half-​pasta dish for when you just can’t make that decision. On Saturday I had a half-​Hawaiian and half-​carbonara which was delicious.
The desserts list is equally impressive, with a wide selection of ice creams and sundaes.
It’s normally busy here (a good sign!) so I’d advise anyone going to book in advance. Lovely atmosphere too, and the staff are always very efficient and attentive.
Up there with my favourite Italians in Edinburgh.

What a gorgeous little Italian restaurant. I can be a bit of a tough critic — but I really could find no fault with this place.
The food here is amazing! I’m a big Italian food fan and this was up there with some of the best I’ve had. My fiancé and I ate ‘meta meta’ style; half pizza and half pasta (such an amazing idea). The food was so delicious! Perfect seasoning, cooked to perfection ahhh my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The portion sizes were huge! You won’t leave this place hungry! My only regret? Not having enough room for the yummy sounding ice cream.
We accompanied our gorgeous food with cocktails. These too were on point. The whole experience was fab — lovely staff and service alongside wonderful food. Just what you want! And better yet it was all very reasonably priced.
As I say — I rarely give 5 stars but the evening was perfect and exceeded all expectations. Thanks Vittoria for a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary!

The excellent reviews inspired us to try it for lunch with a veggie cousin. Enough options for her and the lunch menu is superb value — starter and main for £10.
A calamari starter could have been crisper and the batter lighter, but wasn’t chewy which is always my worry.
For main, egg parpadelle with mushrooms in truffle oil was so lush that my sister kept helping herself to it. Oi.
Peanut butter ice-​cream was pleasing, esp with the tasty textural addition of chopped peanuts. Service was speedy and attentive and the place was buzzing. Overall, molto bene.

Much better than expected. After disappointing pub food, we figured we’d try Italian, and we’re pleasantly surprised.

High expectations, must have been an off day. Don’t order the tagliatelle unless you like anise. We had to send that back, the replacement pasta and tomato sauce had a bit of foil in it, we didn’t eat that. When the bill came they did not offer to discount the uneaten main course until we asked about it.

Der Beste Italiener bei dem ich auf meiner UK Tour war. Die Bedienung ist sehr bemüht, Pizza und Picata Milanese waren echt gut!
Allerdings darf es einen nicht stören wenn viel los ist — das ist da wie es scheint an der Tagesordnung aber das Essen kommt trotzdem schnell.

Vittoria is a great restaurant. With a lunch special of £10 for 2 courses you’ll get more than satisfied (I had to ask a take away of what I couldn’t finish!) loads of delicious food, great price, friendly and attentive staff.

Since our army buddy was in town, we booked a table for 13 to get together again. Our ‘last supper’ could not have gone better! I often find that a group booking can be hit and miss in restaurants, which is probably why many restaurants opt for the ‘group menu’. Not Vittoria! We were placed at a lovely long table at the back of the busy restaurant, and were all presented with the menus.
The waiter came by various times to ask if we wanted a drink, whilst waiting for our friends to arrive, which was very attentive!
After settling in, we ordered some wine which arrived promptly, and ordered our starters and mains. The food came fast, and all in one go, which is really quite difficult to do for such a big table! Kudos!
We never had to wait to order, water was replenished, wine was poured, empty plates were cleared in time — excellent service!
The food was very good, better than I expected to be honest! There was a great choice, and I had the seafood pasta. The portion size was quite large for me. The dishes are simple, Italian food, and the presentation of the food is fine.
I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a good group experience.

Craving spaghetti and meatballs… and Vittoria satisfies! The marinara sauce was perfectly spiced and meatballs weren’t too dry. Fantastic Italian food in Edinburgh.

The best way of enjoying an Italian meal is from Italians. All staff at Vittoria is from Italy. Good meals, excellent desserts. All for a good price. And also an excellent service, kind and attentive.

Despite the issues with their sound system (music kept going on and off), we had a good and reasonably priced dinner that comprised of calamari, focaccia and spaghetti and meatballs. The wine was also reasonably priced, so we just bought a bottle!

Saturday lunchtime deal was brilliant. Half price deal sale was a bargain with amazing food. Service was great and quick, a delightful dining experience.

We pretty much can’t get enough of this place. The servers always remember us, even if we haven’t been there in a while, and the food is always consistently good. We’ve never had a meal miss the mark here. Especially delicious are the polpetti and the bruschetta, though we’ve tried many other items on the menu and they’ve all been great.

Met a friend here for lunch and we were both well impressed. Service was good and fast, so fast they also cleared my chai before I was done drinking it!
Pasta was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Though you’d expect nothing less from this Italian ‘chain’. I’ve been to La Favourita a few times, but this was my first visit to Vittoria and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Prices are reasonable for center of town and portions weren’t too bad, tho it was definitely a 2 course lunch. Think I would have left slightly hungry if I hadn’t had dessert.

When my friend suggested Vittorias for dinner, I automatically went to their website to check out if they had a mailing list and they do. I joined this and got a discount email sent to me for 50% off main courses.
The restaurant was nice although when we were shown to our table, it was wedged Inbetween two other tables and I asked if we could have another table less crowded and we did get one which had a great view to the kitchen so we could see our food bring made.
It’s nice to see Italian waiting staff and they were very polite and smiled. My problem was that they didn’t know about the ingredients of their dishes. As I am vegetarian I don’t eat Parmesan cheese as it has rennet in it (calves stomach lining) but the dishes labeled with a «v» pretty much all had Parmesan in them. I ended up playing it safe with a pizza as they couldn’t conform some ingredients. The same trouble came with desert and the ice cream had animal fat in it do I ended up with a liqueur coffee instead. Now my food was lovely but it seemed a great effort for pizza and a coffee!

This place is a regular go-​to for office lunches when people join, leave or even just because.
Service is usually prompt, the quality of food is consistent & the price for the lunch menu is spot on.

LOVE my Unilocal app especially when I’m looking for food in foreign places. My friends and I were about everywhere during the Fringe and wanted to have dinner that didn’t involve standing on the street corner. I did a quick search and luckily this Italian place was nearby. We put our name down, decided to get a few drinks across the street. I think most places in Edinburgh were really busy so waiting was expected.
I LOVE that they give you the option of having half portion of pizza and pasta if you can’t decide. I’m always struggling between the two so it was great to have the best of both worlds. I had the Ortolana pizza (Yum!) and veggie lasagne (was more like a lump of cheese with veggies… probably wouldn’t order this again). I think the pizza was definitely better than the lasagne but maybe I should’ve tried the meat one.
