On my recent trip to Edinburgh, after a lot of search, I came across this hair salon. The elderly lady at the front office was very kind to understand my needs and recommend a suitable stylist to me. Since we were on a vacation, my husband accompanied too and he was offered tea while he was waiting. :)
I desperately needed to style my ultra-​straight hair into light curls. The young lady (Trainee) did an exceptionally good job! She first washed my hair with a lot of care, blow dried and then curled them with a curling iron. She gave me the look, I always yearned for and never really achieved in any of the hair salons in my country! And all these for £12 only. I couldn’t be happier!!! I am sorry I did not ask her name but she looked very pretty in her long-​short hair style. :) THANK YOU, Wonder lady!

My mother goes to this hairdressers in Stockbridge, which after trial and error of many others settled for this one (oh poor her with her thick, shiny hair. life must be so hard, a wig maker did offer to «buy it off her»)
The head stylist seems to have the attention span of a toddler, however this is the best her hair has looked in years. You can always tell the difference between the abilities of hairdressers because of instead of doing generic cuts that vaguely suit all hair types, it seems this man understands that one bob doesn’t fit all.
If you’ve got a lot of time on your hands (to take into consideration the wandering off and disappearing while he’s cutting your hair) I reckon it’s one of the most superior places in Edinburgh.

Have had my hair cut here twice — both times I booked a ‘standby’ appointment, which they advertise as £25, but when I got to pay they tried to charge me the full price.
Hair cut wasn’t bad, although the hair dresser certainly didn’t try to make me feel at ease, she barely said a word while I was there!
Don’t think I’ll be going back — I felt it was over priced for the quality of hair cut I got.
