If I don’t get a reply to my numerous emails to the MD and the CEO then I will certainly be writing a full review on this page. I totally agree with josska. To say their customers are their priority is an absolute load of rubbish. We purchased a three piece leather suite, two beds, four bedside cabinets and two his and hers sets of drawers and it looks as though we are being classed as an insignificant customers who lies. If I don’t hear from them I will certainly be posting this full details on this site. I totally agree with hat josska is saying for the record.

We purchased three sofas, arm chairs and a dining table set from Sterling 6 years ago and it is still in excellent condition despite being used every day in a hotel environment. We have now purchased solid wood bedroom furniture and leather armchairs find them to also be of excellent quality. I presume that people who are content with their purchases do not usually bother to write reviews whereas those who are unhappy do.

Hello to anyone who is thinking of buying furniture from Sterling Mills. My wife and I went to the Tillycoultry store on the 6^th of October and ordered an oak dining table and 4 chairs costing £999−00 and was told we would have to wait 5 – 6 weeks as this furniture would be made to order. We were happy with the display model we looked at. They were delivered on the 11^th November. We said to the delivery men that this did not look like our table and chairs but we still had to sign for them although we wrote on the delivery note to say we were not satisfied. We went straight over to Tilli a distance of over 50 miles each way and looked at the display model again and it looked completely different to our one. Our table top looked to be made of all odd pieces of wood and different colours and one of the chairs had a lot of the varnish missing, it all looked a mess.
We spoke to Customer Services and the floor manager and said we wanted to cancel and wanted our money back. The manager told us they would not do that but he would try to sell it and take 20% of the price for doing so. We told him where to go. The manager said he would send THEIR cabinet maker to look at it whitch he did and said it was a perfectly good table and it was normal for all the wood to look different, RUBBISH.
We were then offered the display model at the same price even although they told us it had been on display for at least 1 year.
The outcome is we have to keep a dining set we are not happy with because they said it was made especially for us although there is a date on 2 of the chairs of 5−7−11 and 8−9−11, months before we ordered them. Also when we went back to look at the display model it did not look like the first one we seen at all.
So if you are thinking of buying from this strange company.BEWARE. I will never buy anything from them again.

We purchased a lovely solid pine bed from here recently which we managed to get in the sale — we were happy to pay this price but may not have happily paid full price.
They have a really nice range of furniture — from classic to modern (and several bits in between) — the prices tend to be on the slightly higher end of the scale but they often have sales and this is probably the best time to purchase.
There is a car park, with plenty room for parking — I have never seen this car park full.
The sales staff and fairly friendly, they tend to be available if you have a question but leave you alone if you just want to browse.
