A fairly generic Starbucks, though it only opened fairly recently so it does still have that shiny new feel to it. The service was fast, and the staff pretty friendly. Really, everything you’d expect from Starbucks. The real reason for this review is to share the most entertaining spelling I have ever had of my name. People frequently spell it wrong, but ‘Teves’ is a whole new level! I’m going to enjoy this for a while!

Feels so refreshing to pop into something so familiar when you are traveling. The baristas are friendly and the coffee well done. The location quite convenient and surprisingly roomy with the back room. Well done Starbucks

Popped in on my way to work for a takeout. The café is airy and spacious. The coffee on the other hand wasn’t great. It didn’t taste like it contained two shots, it was very bland. I asked for a small amount of pouring cream separate for my coffee and got given ¾ of a short cup, very generous but just how much did they think I needed? I also had to ask for the discount on my reusable cup which I find annoying.

What can I say, it’s a Starbucks! You know what you’re getting. This branch is fairly new to the area, and helping to go some way to redressing the balance of empty units/bargain shops on Shandwick Place, after the trams fiasco caused businesses along its route to shut due to the inability of customers to access them… Anyway! It’s pretty big, there’s a lot of seating in the back, and you don’t need a code to get into the toilets, which is always good. Unfortunately it’s also fairly soulless, it doesn’t seem to fit with the recent Starbucks policy of individual interiors(see the one on the corner of the Royal Mile and Hunter Square as an excellent example). But you know, there’s coffee, there’s muffins and there’s panini. And free wifi. It’s Starbucks!
