I don’t actually want to tell anyone about this place but as a Unilocaler I should. The St Bernard is a proper traditional pub. Read ‘old man’ pub but there’s women in there too. It’s pretty small downstairs as the upstairs lounge wasn’t open when we went in post-Foodies. We still had kitty money to spend and it is worth a visit for the budget conscious. The bar dominates the room as it’s pretty long and there are some tables with chairs and stools, dotted around the side of the room. There’s also a big screen TV in the corner for those wanting to catch the football results. £5.10 for a gin and lemonade and a vodka and(can) diet coke — bargain so no festival pricing here. Ended up staying for four drinks before joining the Whisky crawl Unilocalers. Food wise — looks just like bar snacks — peanuts, crisps and scampi fries but plenty of food places in Stockbridge anyway. Staff lovely and friendly, friendly regulars and clean toilets — result.
