Excellent service, good food, good wine and beer choice. Ended up ordering combo meal for two which had lot more quantity than we expected. If you like spicy food, you do need to order Indian Jalfrezi spicy. We definitely recommend this place.

Tucked away in Hunter Square behind the Tron Kirk, we would have never seen or known about this restaurant had they not been handing out free pakora samples on High Street. The restaurant itself is nothing special, but the people and service are excellent and the food superb. I have access to great Indian food at home in California but still thought that their onion bahji, veg pakora, and tandoori roti is some of the very best I have had. They can easily accommodate vegans at all levels of spiciness(my wife cannot handle most Indian food). While Kushi’s has a good location and long reputation, we found their food and service average and they are not able to accommodate vegans very well. Forget Kushi’s — head to Royal Spice.

Very good food and wonderful service! We had chicken tikka masala, samosas, naan. The naan is to die for. The chicken was very flavorful and tender. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Great place with reasonable prices.

This is a hidden gem. We only did takeout as we were staying right around the corner at the Radisson Blu. Consistently great food!

Really good Indian food. I am Indian so my standards are hard to meet. I dislike 90⁄100 Indian restaurants. You know Indian food is good when its not too oily, over spicy and very heavy on your tummy. It wasn’t too oily and heavy which was the best part. Definitely going again here

One of the many restaurants still open near the witching hour in town, I visited during and between festival shows. I had Chicken Bhuna traditional rice, garlic nan and pint of Indian brew, the rest of my party arrived after a short while. They had the more sedate portions of chicken korma. Royal spice staff managed to supply all this within the space of 45 mins and despite it being really really busy staff did forget one portion of rice but amazingly quick to rectify. The food, the taste, not too hot or cold just right. It was near closing and did think we were the last order of the night, but staff were professional friendly and did have the attitude of grace, or a great refined team that’s been serving punters for years. Nice.

I was lucky enough to be Royal Spice’s first ever lunch customer. The place offers excellent lunchtime value, with dishes from £4.95 and three course lunch options for £6.95 or £8.95. Welcoming staff, who have years of experience from working at Khushi’s on Broughton Street, keep the ship running very smoothly. A good value lunchtime venue, I’d say. Overall, we said: «I was rather pleased with my visit to Royal Spice. For lunchtime value and very decent quality, this is a really good option. It is worth a visit for the naan, alone, but the other items are guaranteed to please, as well. I can see this becoming a really well-used venue for me, so look forward to visiting again, soon. I’d recommend you did so, as well.»
