Rag & Bone Barbershop

I generally find going for a haircut a bit like going to the dentist; it’s something I generally avoid unless I really have to. I really like what the guys at Rag and Bone are doing however.
I’ve been to a few guys hairdressers in Edinburgh, some (such as Ruffian’s) have been good but expensive, whilst others are cheaper but a bit impersonal. Rag and Bone is reasonably priced and I think Rob and Jamie who cut the hair genuinely seem to care about what they do and happy to offer advice.
I appreciate the fact that he talked thorough different options, remembers how he cut it last time and works towards getting something I’d be happy with. It’s laid back and un-​intimidating especially if you aren’t great at articulating what you are after.
The place itself it simple and fairly minimalistic. There’s a hipsterish vibe but not it’s not pretentious. I’d recommend checking it out.
