You can really save some money when shopping here. It has got all the usual stuff you’ll find in a grocer’s. Not just the obscure brands.
Yes ofcourse the sell by/​shelf dates on food items are short. But if you are planning on using within that time it you may as well get it loads cheaper here.
There are definite bargains to be had here. Short on Halloween, Xmas, Easter or any other seasonal produce? Get it here.
The people working here are friendly and very helpful.

This branch of Poundstretcher can be found in the Newkirkgate Shopping Centre in Leith. Leith is located in the north of the city and the shopping centre is very small with a busy car park attached. The shopping centre is easily accessed by most buses which serve Leith however.
Poundstretcher is a variety store which sells clothing, food, toys, stationery, homeware and other items at low prices.
This store is one of their smaller stores in Edinburgh but still worth a look if you are in the area.
There is a very small selection of clothing here — the kidswear is usually quite nice and they sometimes have some nice womenswear on offer at bargain prices. The quality isn’t always the best however.
Poundstretcher sell grocery food items — all non-​perishable tinned or dried items. Sometimes they will have promotions on tinned items but I recommend you check the best before end date as you may find there’s a reason the item is so cheap!
The store has a great selection of toys and stationery items to keep kids amused and you can get some real bargains here.
There is also a great homeware section selling bedding, bathroom items such as towels, kitchenware and cleaning products.
You can also pick up items for your car, small electrical goods and some tools.
There is also a nice selection of confectionary near the till which is worth a look.
As stock changes frequently in Poundstretcher I recommend you pop in often to see what bargains they have on offer!
