It would be difficult to walk down the street and not notice Pendleton’s with its bright red exterior and coloured lettering. Situated in the Tollcross area of Edinburgh, Pendleton’s is just a short walk from the city centre and so it is a convenient place to reach. Pendleton’s is a sandwich shop which offers a huge array of different fillings. I have popped into this store several times to get my lunch when I am walking past it and I am never disappointed. There is a wide selection of different breads available to choose from, and there is a small deli area at the back of the store which displays their fillings, which include cheeses, meats, tuna and salad. Pendleton’s also serve warm breakfast rolls in the morning which is are truly scrumptious! The staff are very friendly and are always patient with me while I decide what I want in my sandwich. A selection of teas and coffees are available for only 99p — what a bargain! There are a few tables and chairs inside, but it is quite small and so it can get fairly cramped over lunch time so most people chose to take their rolls as a takeaway.
