Yup, i’m in! Let us begin this love affair! I adopted the practice five years ago of only giving books as gifts. There’s a whole philosophy around it, which I won’t get into here(but feel free to message me if you want your bookworm ear talked off). And it’s been great… mostly. I’ve read enough to pinpoint great books for most people but I do run into the odd occasion where I’m stumped. Before last week, I didn’t have a go-to spot for these hard to finders but Paper Tiger proved to be my gift giving ninja savior. Filled to the brim with fun and quirky cards, books and giftables, this little store is just a pleasure to poke around. Within a few minutes, I had found a journal and a book that were a perfect fit for my hard to buy for presentee — fun but not hokey. It’s also my new go-to spot for special occasion gift bags and paper. Sure, you could grab these at a lower cost elsewhere, but sometimes, you just want to look like a DIY Pinterest goddess and this is your DIY-for-Dummies safe haven. Alongside books, paper and cards, they carry some fun trinkets that would be perfect stocking stuffers come Christmas. I went in looking for a gift and left with a titanic themed tea steeper for myself. A definite gem, I daresay i’ll frequent this place for a quirky mid-week pick me up trinket or pretty gift wrap often. Total. Utter. Fan.

This Paper Tiger is the little sister of the one on Stafford Street. It’s got a good selection of stuff, but if you want to spend an age drooling over stationery and quirky gifts then the shop around the corner is well worth a visit. Saying that, this shop still has a good selection of cards, diaries, presents and writing stuff. For the stationery nerd this is the place to be. Staff are uniformly friendly and pleasant. I’ve always had good customer service and banter from those working here. Highly recommended!

A great little shop for interesting books, journals, cards and stationary. Definitely worth a look!
