Only very recently opened to the public, this space is very much reminiscent of a hotel restaurant. You need to walk down a long hallway past hotel rooms to reach it and due to its location in the building you don’t actually get much of a view. Just the greenery on the side of Calton Hill. The seating seemed a strange layout but not sure if that was just due to it being an event I attended rather than when it’s set up as a restaurant. The food I got to try in canapé size was all quite tasty and they try to use local seasonal produce which is great, but nothing really had any wow factor. Hoping to try more things and maybe have my mind changed at another event tomorrow but they’d need to impress. Having said that, that bar area upstairs is quite nice, though very limited selection, and the rooftop garden is fantastic!
