This is my new local newsagents, as I’ve just moved to a new flat off Slateford Road. I had a wander around the area today, and popped in here for a quick snack. Inside, it’s a well-stocked newsagent that could easily compete with a small Scotmid or Costcutter. Not only does it have the basics a newsagent should have — magazines, sweets, drinks — it also has some other grocery items, like tinned food, cleaning products and the like. I was pleasantly surprised at what was stocked. I imagine I will use this a fair bit if I’ve forgotten something, and don’t want to go all the way to Asda or Sainsbury’s. This small place is crammed full of stock, and should satisfy a craving for a quick bite, or a dash for some washing tablets. We can often take newsagents for granted, and this place is a good example of what they should be like.
