More like Abbot and Costello, these guys are jokers. Bought a 1999 Saab 93 with 58000 miles on the clock. Had it for about two months and only drive 800 miles and it was using coolant during this time, not a lot to begin with, but it gradually got worse. I suspected the head gasket was compromised because there was off white blobs of gunk on the dipstick. I phoned them to ask them to take a look which I’m entitled to do under the Sale of Goods act. They got snotty with me but let me drop the car off. They did at least provide me with a loan car during the week or so they had it in the garage. Got the car back and they claimed there was nothing wrong with it. When I picked it up they pretty much refused to speak to me about it. Also it looks like my car had been left out in the street next to a building site nearby for a few nights because it was covered in a thick coating of dust. Took the car home, the coolant loss got worse so I took it to a local garage in Perth(Harbour Garage — excellent service by the way) and they confirmed the head gasket was indeed faulty. Ended up having to replace at my own cost. I have the head gasket but was so fed up with the experience I never got around to sending them a photographm wish I had now. So a word of warning… watch yourselves with these guys, they play the very nice sales people but don’t want to know if you find the car has a fault shortly after you buy it.
