Even as a Unilocaler who has laughed way too much at Rayan’s STFU posts about people who talk way too much and inappropriately about their kids, I’m not anti-kids, and have reviewed a fair few little people places because of friends and family that I shop for. I had seen Maddie and Mark’s a few times and when it was my niece’s birthday recently, this was my go-to shop. They have a small range of clothing and accessories — branded organic cotton clothes which are aimed to be used as said little person grows — dresses become tunics, so I thought this would be perfect for my niece who is 12 months but currently wearing 18 month clothing as she is growing so much. The shoes are the main draw. Because little people’s feet are developing then good shoes are a must and a whole host of brands are available — from sturdy shoes to trendy shoes, such as converse, a whole host of types and colour’s are here. Yes, some of them are not cheap but they are very good quality. I picked up a gorgeous pair of jelly ‘Melissa’s’ for my niece — yes, it is official, she is trendier than me, but they are way more fashionable than the 80’s jellies most of us remember and that might have to do with a certain Vivienne Westwood. They also smell amazing and in hot pink they are perfect for holidays. It is not the Clark’s horrors that I’m sure some of us will remember — I wanted the Melissa’s in my size and I was wishing such cool options had been available when I was a little one. I was £56 for a dress and the Melissa’s. The policy is an exchange if anything needs to be returned or a long lasting store credit and the time limit for this is normally I think 2 weeks. As my shopping was heading West, I was told I could have longer than the two weeks and I was able to exchange for a larger size easily. Service is friendly and helpful — the sizing for little people’s shoes can be confusing so take staff advice if required. So, I’m sure I’ll be back here for more presents — a gorgeous pale green pair of converse caught my eye, but my niece is too small for them — at the moment…
