Maddie and Mark’s shoes

I initally thought Maddie and Mark’s at Blackhall looked like it did not have a wide variety of shoes and that they would be very expensive.
Once you are inside they actually DO have a fair selection and the prices are only marginally higher than other shoe stores, in some cases the same.
They have a wide selection of European brands etc, but these brands do not always carry the wider width fittings.
They also carry staples like Stride Rite and this brand does usually have wider widths, but not always. This seems to be the case with very wide wdiths everywhere though (like H fittings). They will order things in for you if need be though.
The staff seemed knowledgable in fitting the shoes and I felt more trust in them than I do in many other children’s shoe stores. I didn’t find them awfully warm, but they were not rude or anything.
It was a pleasant interior that makes the experience fun for the children too.
Overall a nice place with quality merchandise and an experienced staff. I will go back in the future.
