Lola’s

I bought a KGB Deal which was a good deal at £18 for Shellac manicure, minx pedicure and eyelash & eyebrow tint. I went on Saturday 9 June and I have had shellac manicures before as well as minx and tints so I know what to expect or at least I thought I did!
I got the shellac first. there was no manicure involved just a file over the top of my nails and I wasnt impressed with the finish and had to point out a few spaces that had been left without polish. The minx pedicure no pedicure again just a file over top of toenails and once again they havnt been put on properlyI did get to take a few extra minx bits away with me in case any fell off she said! Well, I have had minx on my toes before and they have never looked like this and they have always lasted me around 6 – 8 wks I’ll be lucky if these last a week as I had to trim the bits that were overlapping my toes and try to use the hairdryer for heat to get it to stay in tact.
When I’ve had my eyelashes/​brows tinted before I’ve had vaseline or similar put at the bottom of my eyes and above and also along eyebrowsI never got anything like it only a piece of cotton wool so I was hoping that there was no mistakes! Luckily there wasnt but the room at the back where you are taken is really shabby and freezing cold I suppose I got what I paid for BUT I certainly wouldnt go back and pay FULL PRICE!

Went to Lola’s yesterday for ‘HD Brows’ and all I can say is I was more than disappointed. Upon arriving at the salon Lola explained she was running late and asked if I would mind waiting or coming back a little later. After then waiting over an hour to be taken despite making my appointment at least two months prior, I was led to the back room which was absolutely filthy, wax all over the walls and the shoddy blind which had been stapled to the wall. The floor was in bits and very uneven to walk on and the place was freezing. She the proceeded to wax my brows and then pluck the odd hair before applying a tint and then leaving me for nearly fifteen minutes while she went to attend to another clients nails and provide her with a cup of tea. Once she had finished repairing her other clients nails, she then came back to remove my tint and applied a small amount of after wax care serum. She then proceeded to hand me a very smalll cracked mirror to look at the finished product which was shapeless and pretty much the same as when I arrived. Not wanting to spend another minute in there, I thanked her and left. Upon arriving home, my eyebrows were beginning to hurt and were still very red and bruised the next day. Lola is advertising HD Brows but these are far from HD. There was absolutely no threading invloved which is what gives the eyebrows the definition. I am deeply disappointed by both the service and the mess of my eyebrows. I would encourage everyone to stay away from this place. The prices are by no means the cheapest and the service is shocking! Please please please think very hard before booking an appointment here. Amanda
