Took my Rebel XS in to be fixed as there was an issue with a faulty switch. Camera was ready the next day and around 50 quid. The owner is very nice and honest. Much better vibe in an authentic, family-​run shop than a cold corporate feel. You can tell he is an expert on cameras and cares about his customers. Will return again for any repairs!

Joe is cool. He’s been doing this a long time. He keeps rather minimal hours but he knows his stuff, and is reasonably priced. He’s currently repairing my badly gritted up Nikon pocket camera and because it’s taking a few weeks to get parts, he’s loaned me an equivalent camera free of charge. Email him your problem and he’ll get back to you quickly and if you give him your mobile number, he’ll text you updates on your repair. 4 stars for being open two whole days a week.

JP took a simple problem and made it complicated. The camera came back from the shop in worse shape than it went in. While they were happy to honor the guarantee of repair and look at the kit again, this took a further 2 months until the camera was finally returned in working order. Workmanship /​time spent may be proportional to the value of the equipment you are submitting for repair.
