Forget pop up shops and cafes, Garage is a fantastic pop up art gallery.
Running since 2006, it hosts occasional exhibitions, open weekends and micro-​residencies from artists across the UK. Their next exhibition GARAGE takes place 22 – 23 August, 28 – 29 August and 4 – 5 September 2010 and includes site specific work by a whole team of artists including Rebecca Key, Holly Fulton, Emma Bowen, Sarah Kenchington, Bob Moyler and Thomas MacGregor amongst others.
Having seen Bob Moyler’s fabulous ‘Monster’ earlier this year, I can’t wait to see what new short films he’s produced. The question is, can you beat a cardboard robot wandering abandoned streets reciting philosophical thoughts?
