I loved my cappuccino and the chocolate brownie was sticky and rich. Staff were friendly and efficient. Place is bright, clean and airy. Would definitely be back especially as I loved the coffee. I find the previous reviews odd to say the least! I consider it a real find as a haven of peace during the busy Festival. The other food looks lovely and fresh. Good luck with your venture. Oh and BTW the name is good fun

Oh dear FOF thankyou for your service yesterday. In saying that I would tell the world that you only go here for free wifi and a wee sandwich nothing more nothing less not even a spotify playlist to relax the mind and I didn’t dare order a coffee. Rules and regulations set out for you as you sit down and not much friendly conversation was instigated between anyone in the café(staff included) You can paint the space white but that don’t bring in the light! This is not a bad review just my telling a of my experience, each to their own. Much luck! Big love

I was really disappointed by this place. The positives — there some seating, food, drinks, and wifi. The negatives — the coffee is really bad(I couldn’t even finish it and had to buy another cup down the street at Artisan Roast), their gluten free selection is very small despite their sign outside, and they asked me «how long I would be» after I had sat there just over an hour(I had spent 4 pounds on a GF brownie, which wasn’t very good either, and bad coffee and was catching up on emails — in fact, my coffee was still half full when they asked me this). I guess they just wanted in-and-out tourist customers rather than regulars. I love finding new cafes and going back to them over and over, but this is not one I plan on revisiting.

New to Broughton Street, Firth of Froth is a friendly little café and sandwich shop, much in the same style as Crolla’s, which used to occupy the premises. It had really good soup and a tasty smoked salmon bagel, so I was entirely content with what they had on offer. So overall, we said: «Firth of Froth shows every sign of maintaining the high standards set by Crolla’s during their tenure in these premises. I look forward to visiting Crolla’s in North Charlotte Street, in the next wee while, to see how they’re faring in their new shop.»
