Figgate Burn Park

Lovely local park with a big pond. Popular for dog walkers & more recently Portobello Parkrun which happens every Sat morning at 9.30. It’s a free timed 5k run that involves 3 loops round the park.

This is a wonderful park that has a stream running through it and also has a large pond in which swans, geese and all types of different birds can be found. The park also gives great views of Arthur’s seat and Duddingston Village is only a few minutes away as well so a good walk with these three involved is always assured.
This is not the type of park where you come to play football, have a barbecue or any other sporting activity, it is a place to come to have a relaxing walk, have a picnic, walk your dog and enjoy the beauty of the area.
