The coffee is the most reasonably priced I’ve found yet living here, and is just the right level of strength. I love this location in particular because the staff are extremely sweet and friendly. Triple win.

Caffe Nero is one of the many coffee chains that seem to dominate every city in the UK, although slightly more low key than Starbucks or Costa. This particular one is adjoined to Blackwells bookstore right across from Old College– hence having a continuous stream of store-browsers, University students and staff as well as local clientele. It’s not the most comfortable Nero I have been too, but certainly has the advantage of being inside the bookshop(I don’t know what it is with the smell of coffee and books that is so appealing!) Personally would have preferred more couches rather than chairs but at least their yummy muffins make up for it!(and their friendly service!)

I think I could live in this coffee shop. Every morning I get either a white chocolate mocha or a hot chocolate milano to go. Either option is delicious, and as is everything else they offer. The seats are really comfortable and you can always get a seat. It’s never overly busy, which I quite like. Every other day they have a free sample of something on the counter, which is amazing if I’ve missed breakfast. They also have a loyalty card scheme, buy 9 coffee’s and your 10th is free. I’ve had a few of them!!! The best thing about their coffee is it’s not too hot — I HATE searing hot drinks, but they get theirs to a nice drinkable temperature.
