I do love these sort of little deli places. This one is situated on the busy Roseburn Terrace; doing its best to stand out from the crowd. And I think it’s succeeding. I popped in here on a busy and slightly wet Monday morning, to get a quick snack and bottle of fruit juice. The shop is quite small and compact, with the sandwich counter containing all the different fillings, and a chiller cabinet along the back wall. It has that sandwich shop smell, which I can’t quite put my finger on. It is a very appealing smell — kind of fresh and healthy, and alive with sandwich related goodness. Anyway, back to the shop. There was only one guy working, and he served me in a quick, if not slightly clinical manner. The juice was not as chilled as it could have been(maybe the chiller was not turned on overnight, as it was quite soon after opening), but that’s just me being picky. On the whole, I was impressed with this place, and though I spent only a small amount of time in here, I would happily return next time I’m in the area.
