I was able to get an appointment for a free eye test really easily. They talked me through everything that they were doing, e. g peripheral vision test and they were so helpful.
Bright & clean shop with friendly knowledgeable staff.
I am now on their books for a annual sight test

This is a really nice opticians located centrally on Lothian Road. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Eye tests under the NHS are free so its worth getting tested regularly. They have a good choice of frames from cheaper up to high end designer. THey also have a good selection of sunglasses including designer ones like Calvin Klein and also Oakleys. Once you buy your glasses you can pop back in anytime to get them adjusted.
