Spotted this as I was heading to Earthy and ended up here as Earthy disappointed again. Black outside signage and a mix of black walls, white tiles and some pink lighting(!) with an exposed, stripped back wall inside. Sounds weird but it works and chairs are comfy. Probably seats about 15 in front section and there is seating through the back. So, it only opened 21st August and I was here on the 22nd. I overheard that its owned by the same folks at the Fruitmarket. The aim of the place is to be a café in the Mediterranean deli style and so far, so good. Beautiful cakes lined up. Sourdough bread for sale as well as filled rolls, panini’s and pizza. Nothing gf but was told that lots of gf products next week, same with vegan so I’ll investigate after yoga next week. So, 4*‘s? Lovely chilled vibe, loved the coffee — Matthew Algie, and for me, the sign of a decent latte is milk not over boiled and no need for sugar where you get the natural sweetness of the milk and coffee and this was spot on. So enjoyable, I had two lattes before heading home. Prices = £2.50 for a latte, cakes around £2.50+ with pizza squares £3.95. I heard that although they are just opened, they’ve been getting a lot of Earthy customers visiting. I plan to check out the gf options next week and if I have decent options, it’ll be 5* from me :-)
