Small bar popular with the local residents offering the basic beers and spirits & the opportunity for plenty of people watching.
Finding a seat might not be easy at the weekend but it’s a pit-​stop kind of place so that’s not really a big consideration.

The Alhambra bar epitomises the great old man’s pub of Leith, and that is where it ends. If you aren’t an old man, then don’t bother.
I walked in to be greeted by an elderly gentleman who spent a good ten minutes asking me if I was Davie Broon’s granddaughter because ‘I look awffy like hur’. I can assure you, and the old man, that I don’t know a David Brown. He wasn’t having any of it though.
Gladly, my Dad was there. He is sort of an old man (sorry Da!) so I didn’t feel terribly out the loop but safe to say we had the one swift half and left.
Strange.
