When I moved to Edinburgh 6 years ago I tried several car servicing garages in the easter road/​abbey hill area to look after my car in the long term.
There are a lot of them in this area, but I can say full confidence that the guys at ABS are easily the best for customer service, quality of work and a very reasonable price!
I’ve been using them for the last 4 years to look after my VW Passat (’97) and lately my Audi A3 (’00). I’m always scared with garages that they may take advantage of my relative naivety to car maintenance, but I have never felt even once that they were being duplicitous or recommending work be done when it was unnecessary. it’s ether due to this, or their general care for the car that my 13 year old car has passed its MOT first time for the last 2 years
In the last week I needed my Car MOTed at short notice they said that they couldn’t do it that week, but if it was convenient they;d call me if a spot came up. The next morning I got a call, the car went in 2 hours later and was out again with a fresh MOT by the end of the day.
I can personally vouch for the company and the mechanics, they are friendly and professional and don’t use language that is confusing and difficult to digest.
